We want to make it as easy as possible for you to understand when you need permission for alterations, including electrical work in your home and how to request it.

What We Mean by Electrical Changes
This includes things like:
Adding or moving sockets
Installing new lights (e.g. spotlights/downlights)
Outdoor lighting or power to sheds and outbuildings
Electric Vehicle charging points
Solar panels
Installing extractor fans
Any electrical work in a bathroom (including electric showers)
Hard wired appliances such as ovens
If you have made any electrical alterations to your home, without permission from bpha, please let us know as it is important that we check that any work carried out meets current safety regulations - helping to keep you, your household and your property safe.
