Do you live in a block where there is a communal cleaning service? The cleaning contract we have with Town & Country, who carry out cleaning in areas outside of Bedford (this does not include Bedford blocks as these are cleaned by our caretakers), is due to end in September this year. We are beginning the process to appoint a supplier for the new contract that will start 1st October 2026.
If you're affected by this change you will be receiving a letter from us to provide you with notice and more information about this change.
To help us shape this service, we would like to hear your views on the following current cleaning services that you receive, which could be some or all of the following,
Communal cleaning- cleaning of shared areas, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, waste removal and general upkeep.
Window cleaning - Internal/external window cleaning in communal areas, including frames and sills.
Bin area maintenance - Cleaning of bin areas, waste management, proper disposal and hygiene maintenance.

Town & Country currently provides cleaning for many of our communal spaces. We’re now getting ready to put a new cleaning contract in place, and we’d love to hear what you do or don’t like about their service so we can make sure the next contract meets residents’ needs.
