As part of bpha’s commitment to providing safe and secure homes for all, we are investing in refurbishing a number of our high-rise blocks in Bedford.
Ashburnham Court will be the first flat block in our regeneration programme and a comprehensive programme of works has been planned to improve the thermal efficiency of the building as well as making it a more attractive place to live.
United Living have been appointed as the main contractor who will be carrying out the refurbishment and works are due to start Summer 2021 with refurbishment lasting for approximately a year.
We are keen for residents of Ashburnham Court to get involved with the community improvements to the block as well as provide feedback as the works progress. If you would like to find out more, get involved or share ideas please register below.

We are pleased to advise that United Living will officially start the refurbishment works on Monday 4 October. The week prior to this you may notice United Living staff around the blocks as they prepare to start on site.
As you are already aware the car park will unfortunately be unavailable for the duration of the refurbishment works. United Living will set aside a minimum of two disabled parking spaces for residents who hold a blue badge, but we would encourage all other car park users to buy a parking permit for the surrounding roads from the Council.
Part of the refurbishment project will include refurbishment of the lifts. It is unlikely that this work will commence before the New Year but we would be grateful if you could please contact us on 0330 100 0272 or via vista@bpha.org.uk if you or anyone in your household has mobility issues and may be affected by this work.
